Thanks for the fav, and the info.

I saw in the K&K email that you showed at Kendra's show at the Ivar before. I did about 4 of her shows about 2 years back and sold a bunch of stuff. Did you have similar good luck? The shows at The Monte Christo are pretty good for traffic though if you get a chance. It's cool to meet up and chat with other peeps too.
Although some of the gothier types can get a little over the top if you know what I mean. LOL!
I have been meaning to grab you book also. Any shops here in the valley carrying it? Particularly the Studio City/Sherman Oaks area.

Fezzik: Why do you wear a mask? Were you burned by acid, or something like that?
Man in Black: Oh no, it's just that they're terribly comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing them in the future.

I only did Kendra's show one time, but it was before my comic was printed. All I had were some prints and a few original paintings. Didn't sell much, but the environment was fun and I got to watch people get whipped while I drew.

I'm looking forward to doing another show now that my comic is done. I think I'll do better with something (The Graphic Novel) at a price point that's as much as someone might spend on a drink that night. Yeah, I remember the vibe being kinda gothy, but my artwork tends to have a little bit of supernatural horror tinge to it, so that might be a plus. I'm glad to hear your experiences at her shows were so positive.

I really need to hit up more of the valley comic shops. I've only been selling the book through my website and at cons. There's a few stores that I've left preview copies with, but I need to follow up w/ them. Thanks for the reminder to get off my ass.

Yeah most of the Kendra shows tend to be at goth/industrial locations. They are fun to people watch. I used to be into that scene, not "goth" but more "rivet" industrial. Can't stand it much anymore, but that's beside the point I guess. Yeah that crowd doesn't really spend too much beyond the price of drinks I realized. If you hit right and talk to a lot of people, it can actually get a few sales for you. Knowing that crowd, I produced art that was "tragic and pretty" as one person called it and sold some stuff to some very drunk and loaded clubbers.
I gotta hit up your site and buy the book.

I just got ICONIC in the mail yesterday - it's a pretty decent book - and remind me that I owe you for your book before the next Koffee and Komics. I can either give you cash or just buy you a good dinner that night - I remember thinking for a coffee shop they had great food :-).
